Who says that I must have my backflow prevention device tested anually?
Many
agencies have regulations pertaining to the protection of drinking
water. Federal, state and local codes dictate the necessity for the end
consumer to comply with these regulations.
The Illinois Department of Public Health states that backflow preventers must be tested and inspected under it's administrative code, Chapter No. 1, section 890.1130.
